This is a very nice tested and working unit, not something picker found in dumpster that you see so often on. Heathkit CT-1 capaci-tester similar to IT-22 refurbished tested and excellent working condition this offer is for one 1 vintage. The original paper capacitors had also drifted in value and excessive leakage, so they were replaced as well.
The price is for Heathkit CT-1 as shown. The face plate has some very minor paint loss on edges that I left as is rather than repainting and loosing all graphics. One of the capacitors bypasses side ac line to chassis.
I'm listing the offer for continental USA only. The original resistors had drifted in value and were replaced. Please feel free to ask any questions.
The eye tube is nice and bright. All resistors and paper capacitors have been replaced, the switch contacts cleaned. I have fully refurbished the unit including repainting cabinet with correct color textured paint. This same model was later sold as an IT-22 when Heathkit updated the color and graphics of unit.
Its often referred to as the death cap because when it fails and they do, chassis becomes a shock hazard, has been replaced with modern safety that's designed protect you from hazard should ever fail.
